If you are a Windows 7 user, then you are most likely be aware of the fact that you need toTAKE OWNERSHIP of files and folders before you can make any changes to them. This feature was introduced in order to prevent any unauthorized changes from being made to the system files. However it can be little annoying to follow a long list of procedure every time you want to take ownership of a certain file or folder. So to make this job simpler, I have found a nice tool called Take Ownership Shell Extension which adds the “Take Ownership” option to the Windows context menu. This makes taking ownership too simple and requires no more than a click.

This tutorial is for those newbies out there, wanting to “hack” their school.

Im gonna start by saying, if your going to hack the school, theres a high probability your get caught, and dont do anything dumb like deleting the network. Its lame, and you will get flamed for doing it. This hack will only allow you to hack the computer at a terminal connected to the network. If you want to remote hack your school, ask google.

Firstly get a feel for the layout of the network.. you can do this quickly by:

Start > Programs(Right Click) > Explore

this will give you a map of the network, and you’ll probably be able to edit and run files this way, but with DOS theres more options…

The basics for school hacking is accessing the command prompt, and 90% of school will have blocked this.

So to get around this you can do two things:

1) input this into the IE address “C:windowssystem32cmd.exe”

however this is very likely to be disabled.

2) Creating a Bat file to open Command Prompt.

You can do this by, opening IE > view > source.

once you have notepad open, where gonna make a .BAT file.

we want the BAT file to open up command prompt, so we type:

“CMD” without the “” press ENTER then save it as file.BAT.

Now you should be able to open Command Prompt by clicking on the file. If it fails to open, it is most likely that the CMD.exe is disabled and you dont have the privilages to run it.

So try using the file COMMAND instead. This does not have the same power as CMD, but is better than nothing.

Once we have it open now comes the good bit….

Before doing this, make sure you know a good lot of DOS commands.

These will only work if you have the privilages to use them.

After you have access into Command Prompt, to get access to some programs that you are not allowed to use, DIR for Shortcuts (lnk). Then save them onto floppy disk. A shortcut is good, because it is smaller and quicker to save than a whole exe file.

There is also a good chance that the network will have RAT’s installed. A RAT is a (Remote Administration Tool). Used by Admins to manage networks… a bit like a friendly trojan.

This shouldnt be hard to find, and once you have found the EXE or LNK save it to a floppy, – Now you have control over every computer!!

You could use the RAT to use the admins machine, here possibilites are endless!

How to Stop Annoying “Restart” Prompt after Windows Updates

Windows users can find many things to complain about, but in my opinion, the absolute worst “feature” of Windows is the Nagging Restart Dialog Box.



I’m sure you’ve had to deal with this. It pops up every ten minutes after a major system update. Fortunately, it can be turned off. I’m going to help you to create a shortcut that will turn this nag off when double-clicked.
So, how to stop automatic updates from restarting your PC

Step 1

Your first step is to open Notepad. (Start > Run > “Notepad” > OK)



In Notepad, just type the command “net stop wuauserv” (no quotes, as in above). Then close the window, and select “Yes” to save changes.

What we’re doing is creating an executable batch file which will run a command when double-clicked, to stop the Windows Automatic Updates Service. Make sure that your “Save as type” is set to “All Files” so that you don’t accidently create a text file. Save your file with an extension of “.bat” for example “stop this.bat” as shown above.

Step 3

This cute little batch file is what you’re left with.



When Windows starts nagging you to restart, just double click this to run it and stop the service. You won’t be bothered again. The service will restart when you reboot, which is needed to install the updates in the first place.

Sometimes we want to insert current data and time, whenever we open the file in the notepad. If you are a lazy person like me, who don’t like to

press F5 whenever you open a notepad. Then here is a trick to avoid this. Just add a .LOG in the first line of your text file and close it.
Whenever you open the file with that text in the first line in the notepad, it will insert the current date and time at the end of the file. You

can start entering your text after that.

WHY?

The reason this happens:

In notepad, any other 4-3-3-5 letter word combo will have the same results.
It is all to do with a limitation in Windows. Text files containing Unicode UTF-16-encoded Unicode are supposed to start with a “Byte-Order

Mark” (BOM), which is a two-byte flag that tells a reader how the following UTF-16 data is encoded.

1) You are saving to 8-bit Extended ASCII (Look at the Save As / Encoding format)
2) You are reading from 16-bit UNICODE (You guessed it, look at the Save As / Encoding format)
This is why the 18 8-bit characters are being displayed as 9 (obviously not supported by your codepage) 16-bit UNICODE characters

Working on keyboard has always been faster than working with mouse. We can’t do all our work with mouse but we can do most of our computer work with keyboard. A lot of time gets waisted while moving the hand from keyboard to mouse and vice versa. You can work faster and can do everything just by hitting keys on keyboard.
Below are some very useful windows keyboard shortcuts which will definitely increase your productivity: -

1. Windows Logo + L:-
Walking away from the screen for a while? Keep prying eyes out of your stuff with this quick shortcut that locks the PC instantly.

2. Shift + Delete: -
The lazy way to delete stuff in Windows is to drag it to the Recycle Bin. An even lazier way is to highlight the file and press Delete. And if you’re ultra-lazy (and smarter than the average user), you can bypass the Recycle Bin entirely by pressing Shift + Delete. The downside is that you won’t get the opportunity to easily restore the file from the Recycle Bin if you later decide you want it back, but you also won’t have to bother emptying the Recycle Bin if you use this method to ditch unwanted files.

3. Alt + F6:-
If you’ve got multiple windows open within a given app, this handy shortcut will let you quickly switch between them, so you don’t have to waste time clicking around in search of the right window.

4. Shift + CTRL + N:-
Windows 7 made it a little easier to create new folders in Windows Explorer. Now you can just hit Shift + Ctrl + N in any folder to create a new untitled folder right where you are. The new folder will appear with the name ‘New folder’ already highlighted so you can type in your own name for it and hit Enter to move on to the next task.

5. Windows + M:-
Got a bazillion windows cluttering your screen? Press Windows + M to instantly minimize all current windows to the Taskbar. It’s a great way to restore your sanity, and an even better way to hide what you’re working on from unexpected interlopers. When you want all the windows back again, press Windows + Shift + M and every currently running window will pop open again.

6. Windows + Spacebar:-
If you just want to take a quick peek at your desktop (for instance, to locate a file you’ve dropped there), there’s no need to completely minimize all your windows with the Windows + M shortcut. Instead, press Windows + Spacebar, and all of your open windows will turn transparent so you can see right through them. This even works with maximized windows and full-screen views. To return your view to normal, simply let go of the keys.

7. Windows + Shift + Left or Right Arrow: -
If you use a dual-monitor setup to maximize your screen real estate, you might like to use one monitor as your primary working screen and the other as a holding pen for active windows. Or maybe you just need to move a window from one side to the other for some reason. In either case, hitting Windows + Shift + Left Arrow will move a current window to from the right display to the left, and using Right Arrow will move it from the left display to the right. If you only have one monitor, these commands will dock your window to the designated side of the screen.

8. Windows + 1, 2, 3, etc.:-
Windows 7 introduced a new feature that lets you pin apps to your Taskbar for quick access. An even quicker way to access those apps is with this slick keyboard shortcut. Press Windows + 1 to launch the first pinned app in your Taskbar (from left to right). Windows + 2 launches the second one, Windows + 3 launches the third one, and so on.

9. Windows + T:-
Windows + number launches pinned apps in your Taskbar, but if your apps are already open, there’s a quick way to scroll through them. Press Windows + T and you’ll highlight the first open app in your Taskbar. Press it again and you’ll move to the second open app. As you scroll through them, you’ll get a preview box just as you would if you were hovering over the icon with your mouse. When you get to the app you want, hit Enter to bring it to the foreground. This shortcut only works with open apps, and ignores unopened apps that you’ve pinned to your Taskbar.

We all use Microsoft Word to create documents. and some times we dont want other people to access our documents specially when you are on a shared computer in your company and you may have your certain secret data stored in your word document that should not be accessed by your boss or other employee’s.
To deal with such a situation Microsoft word 2007 integrated a security feature in Microsoft word so that you can password protect your files.
Just follow these simple steps to make your document protected
-->Click on the Microsoft Office Button present on the top left corner of the window.
-->Now Click on the Save As option
-->Now a new window will pop up.
-->Click on Tools option at the bottom of the window.
-->Now you will have two options.
-->You can select either one or both options
-->One is Password To Open it will ask for the password every time the document is opened.
So to view the document you have to enter the password first.
Second is Password To Modify it will ask for the password every time somebody tries to modify the document.

TURN YOUR SCANNED DOCUMENT INTO A WORD DOCUMENT

TURNING A SCANNED DOCUMENT INTO A WORD DOCUMENT is fairly easy, and this process will show you how to turn a scan into editable text. For the purposes of this step-by-step procedure, I used Microsoft Word 2010 running on Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, a Lexmark scanner and Adobe Photoshop. However, any scanner or version of Word should be fine, and Paint can be substituted in the place of photo(or image) editor.
INSTRUCTIONS
THINGS YOU’LL NEED
-->Scanner
-->Microsoft Word
-->MS Paint or any photo editor
1.Prepare your document to be scanned. If possible, select the option to scan a black and white document. It is not required, however this will allow for a more accurate read of the text later on. After this is complete, scan the document.
2.Open the file you’ve scanned with any type of image editor that can save .TIFF files. Microsoft Paint and Photoshop can both do this. Adjust the picture so that it is upright, if necessary. Click on File --> Save As --> name your file --> and next to Format, save the file as a .TIFF
3.Click on the Start button --> Programs --> Microsoft Office --> Microsoft Office Tools and select Microsoft Office Document Imaging
4.Click File --> Open -->Open the folder where you saved your scanned image, click on the file, then click Open
5.Go to Tools --> Send text to Word. It will prompt a message asking where to save the file(click on Browse to choose where you want it to go), then click OK At this point, it may prompt a warning that it will take a while to process. The overall process shouldn’t take more than a minute or two.
Additionally, it may prompt to install the feature that allows the Word conversion to work. In this instance, you may need a copy of your Microsoft Office Installation CD, as it may prompt for it as well.
6.Look for your file to open in Word automatically once the process is complete. If it does not, go to the folder where you saved it, and open the file from there. The document will not be the exact format of the original document, but it will recognize all the words and lay them out for you automatically
